Have done a lot of work on the new WordPress.org site. I am just about finished, just tweaking bits. Hoping to find a way to transfer your subscriptions so you don’t have to! (Though I was finally able to get the subscribe widget up if you prefer to do it while you’re there. :P)

Anyway, you can see the virtual photos at their new home here.

Thank you for your patience!

Gloria

Getting closer to having the wordpress site at my provider finalized. The current theme won’t allow for side boxes only footers. If I can’t find a way around that, I’ll need to change it. 😦 Still working at changing the css. If you’d like to see this week’s Virtual Tourist there – you can find it here.

Otherwise, the post is also on my mirror site.

Hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving!

This week I have pics from the Main Storyline as well as the cities of Limsa Limosa and Ul’dah!

Totally blocked on pics so here’s a link to the mirror site – Virtual Tourist: Final Fantasy XIV 11/22/15

Now that I am back from vacation, I will hopefully be able to get the wordpress.org site up soon!

Stay warm out there! (Going from 90’s and muggy to 50’s is hard!)

Morning!

Since I’ve been playing FFXIV I figured I should point out a thing or two that makes it different from other MMO’s out there.

The first difference is one that’s a great boon to people playing with a loved one or friends who have less or more time to play than you. In FF XIV you can have your main class, as well other adventuring classes, gathering classes, and crafting classes all at the same time, but with all the xp for those other things NOT mixing with the main class your are using to play with your friends!

Let me explain… I took Lancer as my main class, hubby took Ranger. We play together and want to go up in levels together, so can’t play without one another. But now we also have several gathering classes and a couple of crafting classes on the same characters. Well, if he has free time or I have an hour when he’s busy with something else (work or other) we can login and gather and craft and not have that xp spill into the main class so we don’t skew our levels! (This has been an issue on other games where the pool was all one thing.) So we can play together, but also can do other stuff in the game alone.

Heck, they even let you save groups of equipment for these different classes so that with a click of a button all my Lancer armor and add-ons come off and are replaced by the level appropriate equipment I’ve saved for the other class!

Super neat concept!

New Gridania

Some of the pet handling class pets! The player’s armor is pretty cool looking as well!

Here’s another cool one!

This is a conversation with the botanist guild master. You do a quest for the class every 5 levels. As you can see I have different gear for gathering.

Airship as we leave New Gridania for Limsa Lominsa, the second of the three starting cities! Have a mission to deliver letters to some of the other leaders.

Isn’t the doc marvellous?

And yes, I am still so very cute!!!! 😛

All their movies are so detailed. Love it!

Being waved off by the Adventurer’s guild leader as well as the two mysterious helpers. I’ll be seeing them all again I am sure. 🙂

Another flashback to things which have previously occurred. Ships from aliens who have plans for our world. Whether we want them to or not!

Cool ship though!

This man is a very angry person. Heh heh.

Invasion gone wrong due to…

Dragons!

Massive destruction.

Who’s bad? Who’s bad? You know it!

Have a great day!

Half asleep this morning…

New Gridania

Looks so real, doesn’t it?

I do love the architecture. So cute!

This is inside the Carpenters Guild. I got a visit from one of our Free Company (player guild) peeps. In FFXIV you can have multiple skills in player types, gathering, and crafting. You compile different clothes/armor sets for those classes and can save each individually. A very cool thing, but one I didn’t know about when she did this! lol.

Showing off all her classes! (Took me a minute to realize what was up! lol)

Fashion show of skills?

Very impressive, to be sure!

Adorable armor.

This is also armor I’d seen during one of the main storyline flashbacks.

Too cute! And generous too! Gave me some crafting money. 🙂

Gotta go!

Gack, running late. Typical, no? Boo!

Final Fantasy XIV

Main Storyline

New Gridania

Battle at the sacred tree.

These guys are doing the destroying but are not the actual instigators of the trouble. Bad tempered though. Heh heh

I’ve come with the rangers to stop them.

Now this guy is the one behind the current troubles.

And he really wants to win.

The mysterious duo shows up once more to help.

Later, I speak with the leader of Gridania

Lots of things to learn. And she’s chosen me for a role in an upcoming celebration.

Oooh! Hope I will be able to make stuff like that some day!

People getting together.

I’m wearing a ceremonial mask representing those who helped during the calamity years ago.

Which in turn…

Unexpectedly gives me visions of the past and the disaster from before.

Things are very grim.

The leaders of the battle to defend the planet.

Dude on the bad side.

After the vision, went to meet the leader again in a special garden. So pretty!

Isn’t that neat? She realizes more trouble is coming and wants me to deliver messages to the other two leaders.

Cure little guy right in the middle. Awwww.

And off I go!

I was going to give you all a break and put up another game’s pics then changed my mind. Heh heh heh. I’ll switch it up next week…? 😛

Final Fantasy XIV

Player Housing Zone

Took a boat to the fields where Adventurers and Free Companies (guilds) can buy housing. Here’s a fountain and lawn prop we saw there

Don’t know much about how the system works but isn’t the Sakura tree gorgeous?

Randomly went into a couple of homes. Look at the awesome bookshelves!

Such cool and weird stuff!

Hot tub anyone?

View from the street

Another home front

Oooo!

That’s slightly disturbing. lol.

New Gridania

Adventurer’s Guild Head and mother influence. 🙂

About to embark to another city. Latest armor. 🙂

Nice suit of armor dude!

Head of the Archery Guild.

Is this a gorgeous field or what?

Hope you’re weekend has been fab!

Morning all!

Final Fantasy XIV

Old Gridania

Lancer Guild

This guy has different views on how Lancers should be. He might just become my characters future boyfriend. If he doesn’t get me killed. lol.

That’s my sensei in the background. First met the rival when he came to challenge everyone in the dojo. My master would not rise to his taunts. Heh heh

Central Shroud

Riding my first Chocobo! Woot! What’s truly hilarious is they play a Bonanza like song when you ride the Chocobo from station to station. Hee!

Some Aardvark like creatures that have been causing trouble. Nifty little tents!

Though the local tents are also cool. And new armor!

Hah! A closeup!

Hubby is staring up at the Mail station. The mail guy looks so cute!

Pet Caster’s pet. Cutest things ever!

I so love all the lovely detail!

Wharf area at night

Some mound burial crypts out in the Shroud zone.

Inside one of them. Before we got mauled. Heh heh

Our first view of the Adventurer’s housing area. Really cool. And so expensive! Gack!

Have a super Sunday!

Morning!

Final Fantasy XIV

New/Old Gridania and Central Shroud

This is like a shopping mall of sorts. Tons of independent vendors and access to the trade board/

The outside of the Lancers Guild – Guilds here mean professions. Your player guilds are called Free Companies

Lance Master giving me instruction.

All the buildings are just so cute!!

Central Shroud – That’s a forest guardian. Really neat looking. Normally not aggro, but later on…

Side shot of the Inn/Meeting hall. So pretty!

Lovely no?

Giant face mask in the Lancers Guild.

Lovely night sky!

Chocobo farm in Bentbrook (I think that’s the name)

Things that need killing. lol. 🙂

My second set of armor. Kind of nice hot having every inch of skin showing like in some other games. 🙂

Nightime in Gridania

Really love this place

Chocobo rental spot. You can’t use it till level 15 or so. Cheaper than teleporing and they play a Bonanza style song, which cracked me up!

Main storyline film. Trying to find a masked stranger causing trouble by going to the old stump.

These two adventurers keep popping up in my life. They’re investigating odd phenomena due to energy surges.

The disruption has just made the nice treant go mad.

No idea about this – yet look at the detail! lol. I think I wasn’t fast enough with the trigger pic finger. 😛

Things are happening!

Yes, I’ve been going a little photo crazy. DOH!
